I have recently come across an online course offered by Caleb O’Dowd. The course is called High Profit Facebook Groups. After some research, I’m gonna share my findings and my opinion with you.
High Profit Facebook Groups – an opportunity?
At first, I have to explain how I got to this “opportunity”. As a follower of one very successful YouTube influencer, I received an e-mail with a claim “This is the easiest way to get rich online in 2019”. It was an invitation to a live webinar where Jake (the influencer) and Caleb were supposed to present this opportunity.
Name: High Profit Facebook Groups
Owner: Caleb O’Dowd
Website: MultiChannelMarketing.com
Price: $1,997
Purpose: claims to teach you how to make $10,000+ a month online
A Webinar?
First of all, it was not a live webinar but a pre-recorded audio. Jake was there only in the beginning and then Caleb started his “show”. Honestly, I’ve always wondered how can someone talk about something without saying anything concrete. Just blah blah blah about how everyone can do this. Well, if someone says this, I’m suspicious. Yeah, opportunities are open for everyone but we all have different backgrounds, different number of friends and different skills.
Practically all of the so-called webinar was repeating you can earn up to $10,000 a month and all Caleb’s friends and his family members do this as well. A bit suspicious, isn’t it? But let’s dig into it a bit more.
What is High Profit Facebook Groups
What is actually this program about? High Profit Facebook Groups program is a course supposed to show you how to build up a big following on a Facebook group that you create from scratch. And then how you can make money from it.
The price of this course is $1,997. Assuming that most of the people who are interested in earning money online are people who don’t have huge amounts to waste, I find this way too much. There are other programs that are much cheaper or free if you want to learn how to make money with affiliate marketing from scratch.
Show after the “Webinar”
So I just left the webinar. But then, the days afterwards I kept receiving e-mails saying how limited this offer was. This tactics is very common, first at the end of such webinars and then in the follow-up e-mails. It’s supposed to make you feel you have the last chance to buy something valuable. If you are not aware it’s only a trick because there actually is no limitation to that offer, you are in.
Just have to say, I really don’t like criticizing other people. I know that no one is perfect, neither am I. But I do listen to my intuition and the feeling I’ve got if I see or hear someone. That’s why I wanted to see what kind of person the speaker i.e. owner of program was.
I’m so glad I didn’t fall for this trap and looked for more information.
On my quest, I found this Caleb O’Dowd on youtube. I didn’t have a feeling he was an honest person who cares about anything else than just money. I mean, there’s nothing wrong about money but intentions are also important, at least for me. This is just a clever businessman, knows very well what tactics work and sends e-mails that bring him sales. I’ve seen that before.
I have to admit it happened to me once that I have fallen for a well-written sales e-mail and bought an online course that was, sorry to say that, really crap. After several e-mails requesting my money back, they did return it but it was not a nice experience.
To give you an idea of this man, I’m sharing one of the videos I found on youtube:
Does It Really Work?
High Profit Facebook Group might work but not as quick as they claim!
To make it clear: I am not saying that his program doesn’t work. I know from my own experience you can set up a fan page i.e. a Facebook group and you can succeed. But you should be well aware that it will take time and effort, a lot of effort! Nothing like that they tell you in the webinar. It is not so easy and quick.
Pure Manipulation
To sum it up, I’m glad I was able to recognise the tricks Caleb used in this presentation. I’ve seen so many programs and courses and webinars that I’m a bit sick of these tricks. I mean, I understand that someone wants to sell their products but this is based on pure manipulation. I know there are some people out there who succeed with these tactics. But if it was me, I wouldn’t be happy earning money this way.
There are some real opportunities in the online world but are not easy to be found among many scammers and dirty tricks using “businessmen.”
So is this program a scam?
To answer the question whether High Profit Facebook Groups is a scam, I would definitely say it is not an honest program. I don’t think it’s right to claim that building a facebook group is easy and quick and anyone can do it without effort. Building anything that’s profitable takes time, hard work and perseverance and it is not quick.
In my opinion, the price is way too high as well. $1,997 for something without proof, that’s just too much.
I do not recommend buying the High Profit Facebook Groups program. But I’ve got another tip for you as I suppose you are looking for an opportunity to earn some extra money online that might in time become a full-time income, right?
There is a solution.
If you’re looking for a clear guide to earning a full-time income online, this is a serious program where you can start for FREE. This program will teach you how to build a legit and profitable affiliate marketing business.
As a member, you’ll have all the training, tools and support you need to succeed at your fingertips.
This program costs a fraction of the High Profit Facebook Groups price but you can try it for free for one week. Not credit card required. Just sign up and look around. If you decide it is not for you, no problem. After all, you have nothing to lose!
Have you ever fallen into a trap of a scammer or a get-rich-quick scheme? Share your experience with us.
A lot of the things these guys say in their webinars are just to entice their viewers to buy into their offers. To be honest, a lot of us fall for these tactics as these guys are experienced and know exactly what to say and the soft spot to hit to get their viewers interested. Unfortunately that is the world we now live in that even the scammers know how to get people to buy their scam products. I really don’t know if this product would work but for a beginner, it is not the way to go because the cost is way too expensive.
Jay, thank you, I appreciate your points. I agree this is how the world works now, I’ve been seeing so many quick solutions all time and people fall for it. One even doesn’t have to be stupid to fall for that, just unaware of the tactics. That’s why I wrote this post.
To be completely honest, I didn’t say this was a scam because it might work for someone. But for that price? I’d rather spend it on something better 🙂
I was a if WA .. Although it won’t be admitted , l was encouraged to write bad reviews and promote WA ( blam , be the voice of niceness
I have never been encouraged to write any review but even if I was I wouldn’t write anything I wouldn’t be convinced of. I only write my personal experience or opinions and I think it’s obvious if you read my reviews thoroughly.
This is great to see on this review you have done on High Profit Facebook groups. I felt suspicious immediately I saw the price tag of this platform. Rather way too expensive and that struck a gong in my head straight up for a potential scam. Though you have presented it as not being a scam, I would not want to get myself involved in such a platform.
Thank you Rodarrick, yes I haven’t presented it as a scam as it might work for some people and I don’t want to smash it off the table completely, I just don’t like the way it is presented, it puts me off even someone says This is sooo easy and good for everybody.
Hello
I’m a little cautious about High Profit Facebook Groups. First of all the cost of the course is too expensive. Not everyone can afford it. It also takes too much time to work. I think these are two inhibitory agents for me and I wouldn’t deal with it.
I agree that the Wealthy Affiliate Program is much more reliable. Thank you for your enlightening and useful topic.
Thanks for your insights, yes it is way to expensive for something like that. It would be better to purchase a website that’s earning money for that price 🙂
Honestly, I haven’t found any better program than Wealthy Affiliate so far.
Eh, I was pretty skeptical just reading the title of this so-called program. Like you, I see through sales manipulation pretty fast. I don’t like it. I’d rather play honestly and just as you said, I don’t want to make money by rushing someone into a purchase of $2000 just because they thought space was limited or time was running out. I mean, seriously? That’s really unethical to me.
I’ll definitely pass on this one. Thanks for the information!
Thank you for your review, yes to me it’s also unethical but that’s the way how many marketers present their products nowadays. At least, it’s good to know 🙂
I don’t like the manipulation aspects of this program and on the other hand when one wants to see a webinar one wants to see it live, not a reprogrammed video. But what has finally made me decide to give this program a pass is that the price is too high. So, no thanks, this is not for me.
Neither for me! Although it’s not a scam, it’s unethical to promote something this way and as you saying it’s ridiculous that it was not even a live webinar!
Great post, I find that all to often with companies that say the product is disappearing if you don’t act right away, I have always thought it was a pretty shady thing to do and seems dishonest. I like to make money too but not by pulling the wool over people’s eyes.
The price is pretty high, that would have been enough to make me run the other way, thanks for the heads up.
Absolutely, Neil, the price was the first thing to put me off but I could also sense something weird in that guy himself, you know you can recognise a lot from someone’s voice, the way they talk and laugh etc.
yes, agree
Have to say that having, like you, seen a lot of the scam videos, you do learn to recognise them. Anything that says you can quickly be making $10,000 a month is just too good to be true. It doesn’t matter how much you pay out to start with, it takes time to build a following, especially on Facebook.
Like you, I always listen to my intuition, it’s how I avoided getting caught by any scams. I agree too, that the cost is very high. Working online myself for the last 10 years I know it takes years to build a following on any social media platform.
I am always glad to see reviews like this that show the reality of such ‘offers’.
Interesting and informative post, thank you. Will share on social media for others to read.
Thank so much, Linda, I’m always glad if someone appreciates honest approach. I have to say I was prone to fall for something like that in the past as I am someone open to everything and don’t expect people to lie but the more such “great offers” you see the more you recognise the tricks, like you said.
Hi LenkaSophie,
I am planning on building my Facebook market for my blog website and then I came across “High-Profit Facebook Groups”. I actually thought about joining, but I was just not sure. I am glad you did an honest review on it because now I know I shouldn’t invest a lot of time and money on something like this. Do you have any cheaper program that can help with the Facebook market?
Hello Jordan, I’m glad I could help saving you some bad investment on a program that doesn’t seem decent. It would be cheaper to pay for Facebook ads where you can target certain audience groups regarding age, hobbies etc. It’s quite a science and if you do the right targeting, you can get some decent results.
It is totally okay to see things such as this way when it comes to having the High Profit Facebook Groups. The pricing of this high ticket program is a problem to me as it seems way too overpriced. However, with the potential offered it might be worth giving a try. Thanks for your review.
You are right, Benny, that it’s really overpriced. There are other options that are cheaper, more valuable and without hype.
High profit Facebook groups definitely does sound like a good course. I remember this other guy who once mentioned that the best investment you can ever make is in the brains and not in business stuff. But over 1000 bucks just to learn how to create a Facebook group and how to monetise it? I can openly say the legit course looks like a scam. I’m sure most of those who join the course will not be be able to recover the money they invested.
That’s what I’m thinking too, Donny! I do think some people buy it because this guy, the author of the program, has some affiliates with huge fan groups and there is always someone who buys into the lies and gets the impression it is a way how to earn money.
I got an invitation to the “webinar” from one of my favourite YouTubers and I was very disappointed he supported such a program that, to me, doesn’t look very honest.
Hello there,
I am very careful when it comes to online stuff and I am more cautious about High Profit Facebook Groups. The cost of the course is too expensive. Not everyone can afford it. I think this is dangerous and I wouldn’t deal with it. I also agree that the Wealthy Affiliate Program is much more reliable. Thank you for your enlightening and useful topic.
Yes, High Profit Facebook Groups is a very expensive program and to me, not worth the money.
Hello. I love this review you have done on the level of High Profit Facebook groups. I probably would not have believed that it was genuine especially when I saw the price tag that was placed on the platform. It is way too expensive and it could be regarded as potential scam. Even if people might benefited from it, I would not advice anyone to go into it. It costs too much money.
Definitely, to me High Profit Facebook Group is a no-go.
Hi. My thoughts. Given that Facebook keeps raising the prices for fan pages to get exposure, a Facebook group is one more way to tap into your audience and make more money and also without buying ads. There are ways to use a Facebook group to generate a steady stream of sales and the best part is these methods are simple and even free, so if you’re already on Facebook, then you already have some knowledge on how to use these tips.
Sure, it would be cheaper and probably more efficient to buy some ads if someone wants to spend money there.
Hello again Lenka!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us! All people who are interested in finding ways to earn money online should know what to beware of, and make use of other people’s experience for choosing what is best for them. As for scams and any other deceitful offers, we may just say “Mother of online scams is always pregnant” :).
$1,997 for a course!? Wow, in this case the persons that are behind HPFG can actually turn some people off from the beginning, this way saving them from losing money! But tragically other people may hope to earn even more after this initial “investment”, trusting the get-rich-quick scheme.
Their webinar is also misleading… It is good for other people to know what this High Profit Facebook Groups is about. There are so many “true lies” on the internet, and many potential victims!
Kind regards, Peter
Hello Peter!
Thank you for your insightful comment. I love your sentence Mother of online scams is always pregnant. There are so many I’ve seen and many more I haven’t but there are always new ones created and trying to lure people in. The more flashy salespage, the more bragging of the owner and the easier-looking, the more careful I am.
What I was especially annoyed with in this case was that I received invitation to that “webinar” from one of my favourite YouTubers and I thought he was an honest guy. It’s a shame. I lost trust in him as well after this experience.
Lenka
Hey Lenka, thanks so much for making us aware of this program. It really does just sound like a bit of a scam. I can’t see how anyone can really make money in this way by using these manipulation techniques anymore. People can tell when someone isn’t being completely honest and although it can make money temporarilly I can’t see this working long term
I absolutely agree, Mike, programs like this can make money ripping off people who are looking for online resources of income and have no experience with anything like that but it’s very short-sighted. However, manipulation techniques still work and it is necessary to show these people off.
wow, whether this is legit or not I think most people wanting to make money online certainly wouldn’t part which such a large amount of money on a possible whim.
Also the footer on the Youtube video image states, pay less for traffic, when in reality using the correct SEO techniques, there’s an abundance of traffic that you can capture for FREE.
Admittedly you can pay for traffic and that’s perfectly fine but why pay for something when you can get high quality traffic without having to pay.
I absolutely agree, Dave, why paying for traffic when you can get it for free learning the techniques to do so. But that’s not what these marketers “teach”. All they want is money, they are not concerned about the people.
I found your article very elaborative and informative .
According to your review the program is legit. The cost of the program is quite expensive. Not everyone can afford this program. May be it works for some people but it won’t work for me.
Thanks for sharing High Profit Facebook Group Review
I’m glad you found it helpful.
When I saw the price tag of the online course my scam instinct went up immediately. Now I went through the article and I discovered some things that I felt scam.
1. At the presentation, there was a repeating “you can earn up to $10,000 a month”.
2. They kept sending e-mails saying how limited the offer was.
Whether it’s scam or not, these are just simple ways real scammers use to manipulate people into buying their product. Their online course itself “High Profit Facebook Groups” may not necessarily be scam as anyone could create a Facebook group from scratch, build traffic, and market their products. But their intentions matter a lot and that’s what may make the course be a scam.
We should really be careful of programs with high price and promise of big returns. If not checked carefully we may be a victim.
Thank you so much for taking the time to put together this article.
Thank you for your insights, you are right, the indicators you mentioned always say there is something wrong, at least it’s not a genuine offer, if not a complete scam.
I was hesitating whether to indicate this program as scam or not but at the end of the day, it is a program that would show/teach something. The biggest problem is that it is overpriced.
Hello,
Great post!
You just found one more scammer around us. I also believe he is a scammer. What is most astounding for me in the webinar – the price – almost two thousand dollars! It is way too much!
Also, I don’t believe in High-Profit Facebook Groups; like you said: blah, blah, blah…big scam. I don’t want to be involved in this scam as well.
It is better to be a part of the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
Thank you that you warned us of Jake and Caleb and their High Profit Facebook Groups.
I’m glad I could help. Yes, the price is really horrendous.
This review caught my attention, but not in a positive way. From the name, High Profit Facebook Groups, I can tell it may not be that legit.
I almost freaked out when I saw the price of joining the program. $1997 is a lot, especially for those who are starting out in making money online. I would never pay that high a price.
Though it may look professional to a degree, I can see the false promises right away. So I certainly would turn away from taking part in a program such as HPFG.
Thanks for the informative post – please keep it going!
Thank you Eric, I thought the same immediately in the webinar, after years of being online I can spot false promises and hype but the thing that is the biggest turn-off for me is the price. As you are saying, for someone who wants to make money online it doesn’t make sense to pay such a horrendous amount.
Thanks a lot for the warning. Definitely, whenever a “Get Rich Fast” words combinations came into play… you must go away!
If someone believes it is easy, most likely it’s because they know nothing about it. There is where caring people like you come into play. Once again thanks for the guidance as I’ve already spent too much money on that kind of scammers.
You are absolutely right, Juan, there is nothing like get rich fast unless you win in a lottery or inherit some money. It is effort and persistence what brings results.
Hello Lenka! Thank you for the review of High Profits Facebook group. It is a time saver, it is an eye opener, it is very informative. I agree with you, the money they charge is high. Other people can do better and charge little amount of money, or sometimes they offer the training for free like the one you mentioned. I will give it a try. Thank you!
I’m happy I could help, Eva!
Hiya LenkaSophie,
Thanks for your revealing article on High Profit Facebook Groups. I’d never heard of them before and I know now to avoid them thanks to your information.
I have a Facebook business page which doesn’t really get any traffic yet and I could pay to boost the posts I make but I don’t want to pay out for things that I hope to get for free and I see it as a challenge to produce posts that people want to read and engage with.
Is there anyone you would recommend these groups to or should everyone steer clear? Thanks for helping me avoid unnecessary expenses!
PurpleLioness
Hello PurpleLioness,
I can’t think of anyone I would recommend this program. I also have my own Facebook business page and same like you, it doesn’t bring me any traffic. People are very picky of what they read and share and it is a challenge, as you are saying, indeed.
All the best in your endeavours!
Coming into a public platform like Facebook and selling a training program for nearly 2K tells me something is rather fishy. All of these webinars are pre-recorded, no matter how many ‘live’ feature they try to infuse into the video. I even saw one with the presenter throwing cash into the air and said ‘Do you want these (the money)?’ – how scammy is that?!?!
I believe these people know a thing or two about attraction marketing, but they aren’t selling a genuine product that can offer value. And as such, they are not trustworthy, to begin with.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Cathy! You are absolutely right, these people know a few tricks but sometimes they are really good at it! After many years of being in the online world I can recognize such tricks quite quickly. And also, I’m a person who is always very careful with spending money so I would never pay such a horrendous amount, no matter what the person would say 🙂
Yeah it’s unfortunate that the internet has so many con artist and scammers that a person whose looking to make money online and just starting out may run into a few of them to say the least. I suggest that people do their research before purchasing anything online. The online community needs articles like this so that they can see what’s real and what’s fake. Thanks for giving your honest opinion and letting us know that this company is overpriced and most likely a scam.
That’s what I say also all the time, Mahasin, people need honest reviews not just recommendations of something in order to get money from it. I was so disappointed my favourite Youtuber recommended this program, he has his own programs and hundreds of thousands viewers so I wondered why did he need to do this. Greed, I reckon. It’s sad but we can’t change the worlds.
I must confess, most of this high profit Facebook businesses are fake, they are not to be trusted for anything whatsoever, they just find it easy to manipulate people and cajole them to submit to their shabby opportunities which at the end of the day turns out to be scam.
How on earth will someone tell you, you can make as high as $10,000 in a week on Facebook and you will believe him.

Carol, to me it is obvious too that such claims are something I can’t believe but there are probably people who buy it. It is sad though. These con artists just play with words and tricks and they are often very good at it, there are some tricks that really work and I’m glad I can recognize them.
Caleb is the Internet version of the “Irish Traveler.” Be very cautious.
Are you suggesting it is dangerous to write something not positive about him? Well, I only shared my opinion and my experience with this so-called webinar. I believe that being honest is the best way.
I stupidly fell for this but got it for half price. Like that’s any consolation. I feel like an idiot that I believed him. So dumb
We all sometimes fall for something that seems too good to be true but we just want to believe that. It happened to me too. Take it as a lesson. You can’t change it, only learn from it. Get-rich-quick solutions don’t exist. There is always long-term work and persistence behind every success.
I’m actually glad I’ve come across this scheme because when I was looking it up on the internet, I found a review about Wealthy Affiliate University, which I joined for free and started building my online business.
Thanks Lenka. I’m too scared to try anything now as I don’t trust anything to be legitimate.
I understand. However, this doesn’t even ask you for a credit card, you only enter your e-mail address and then you can see how it works for one week for free.
But I understand how you feel. Bad experience puts us down. Down blame yourself for that. We all make mistakes.
Wish you all the best!
Lenka
🙂 I’m glad I had some sense to google this guy and found this page. Although you said it wasn’t a scam it’s a scam in my eyes because he’s claiming you can be profitable in the 2nd week. $2000 could be better spent elsewhere. I’ll try to see what’s up with your program though
I’m definitely with you that the money can be spent much better elsewhere.
That program is really close to spam, I was not sure if I should call it spam or not because it’s not completely impossible but it’s similar like with many MLMs, too many promises, half-lies, saying how easy it is and how everyone can do that, all that blah blah blah trying to persuade as many people as possible they can get rich quick without much effort.
I have Kilstein’s sneaker program… $997. Garbage. 6 or 7 8-12 minute videos. These guys should be ashamed of themselves.
I agree, I don’t understand how anyone can be happy earning money by ripping people off like this.
If I actually found this website online, I am very sure that I wouldn’t join because the claim that they have made here is just too outrageous. How can they say that I could make that much money in just a month online. I would most definitely not be giving this one a go and all kudos to you for a well done review. Thank you.
Thank you for your review here about this High Profit Facebook Groups and how it has been making bogus claims just to get people excited and join. There is no way you’d get online and start turning profit almost immediately without going though the whole process which takes time. Definitely all these are just BS and crazy.
There are lots of scammers out there that are devising new means of ripping people off their hard earned cash, that is why it is good as an online user to get yourself acquainted with articles that’ll open your eyes. There’s nothing to benefit from this product, it’s only trying to rip people off.
Hello Lenka, thank you for this honest review, I was looking for some information about this online program as it didn’t feel right but I wasn’t sure. Now I understand what it is about and know it’s not worth paying for. Thanks again for summing it up and sharing your experience.
This is the classic scam formula. They talk more about the money that you are going to make than the actual steps you may take to get to the money. And the offer is always precious and time-limited. I was a victim of such scams before I found Wealthy Affiliate. Because that is where I understood exactly how someone could make money online.
So, I guess those kinds of scams usually attract newcomers in the make money online industry, and with this pandemic, they are so many. But I really hope they will take the time to search around and find blogs like yours to help them understand better and invest their time and money in the right place.
Thanks for sharing!
That’s what I believe, too! I wish more people recognize scammers at first sight and if not I hope they’ll find my article.
So, should you try it?
Well, I don’t think so. There are many red flags about this program which tell us that it is not as profitable and as genuine as the creators claim. First of all, it is very expensive for an online course that teaches you something you can learn from a lot of free sources. It is also created by a marketer who is known to use scammy tactics in the past to promote his programs.
Thank you so much for the great review of the High-Profit Facebook Group. A course about creating a profitable Facebook group that would show you step-by-step how to make money online from the very beginning would be nice. I have no previous experience with a Facebook group but looking at your article I understand that there is a better platform than this where there is a lot to learn and that is not so expensive.
If it is too good to be true then it is not true. Right from your analysis of the webinar it shows that do not know what they are into and have no value to deliver. How can you charge above 1,000 USD and you offer nothing. That is not an only a scam but daylight robbery. I will rather work for 1 cent than 10,000 USD in the bush
Once it says an easy way to get rich, save yourself some time and move on. It’s best for online entrepreneurs or influencers to just give themselves time to learn about the Facebook algorithm to better succeed on the platform than to spend a whopping $1997.00 with a guarantee of any results, basically giving away your hard-earned cash to a scam. Also, I do agree with you one should put in the effort to grow a group. I would not waste my time or invest in a High-Profit Facebook Group. Wealthy Affiliate is surely an alternative.
It’s so sad that you get to meet “gurus” that are very knowledgeable in their various field but then they try to take advantage of newbies by selling crap to them. This way they promise that a system could generate them big money without little or no stress when they themselves know how they started from the very beginning. In fact, it was through hard work they got to make sales of their courses. It’s so sad seeing them doing this way just to make quick bucks. I’m glad I got to read this.
Yes, $2k without knowing for sure whether the system works is just way too expensive. But there will be some who will take the plunge anyway because easy money is such an irresistible pull.
I’ve personally never blown that much money on a scam, although I did waste time, and admittedly a bit of money now and then, but not anymore in recent times. Getting burned a few times, although just a little each time, does make one a little bit wiser each time.
Keep exposing these tricks so that fewer people would fall for them!
Yes I think this is way, way over priced
He promises in the course it is so easy, simple and we do it all for you for a whole year and in 6 weeks you loose all support
The support is horrible to non existent
the support staff are people in the Philippine who simply respond with niceties and no concrete way to fix problems
Scam – yes do not buy
Caleb is on it again. Peter Beattie is promoting his products. It is now 2021!
Good to know! I’ll have to dig into it and maybe update this post.
It’s sad what people do for money, selling scams and not caring about the consequences.
